The showroom located at the Boatshed on Thesen Island in Knysna was opened in early 2015 when Richen decided to start her own business after having been in the interior decorating industry for over 12 years.
Having qualified in 2003 in Cape Town, Richen soon relocated to Knysna where she established her client base over the past decade to include clients from all over the world.

The dream of Paisley and Bloom was started by Richen Vermeulen from the day she qualified as a professional Interior Decorator.
Paisley and Bloom Interiors is owner-run by Richen Vermeulen, who has a deep love for decor. Specializing in fabrics and soft furnishings, Richen’s hands-on approach and knowledge of textiles is unmatched.
With extensive experience in turn-key interior decorating projects, Richen’s expertise and contacts within the industry enable her to craft living spaces that perfectly complement the personalities and lifestyles of her diverse clientéle. Richen excels in combining patterns, fabrics, wallpaper, and textures to create harmonious and visually captivating environments.
